Bev Hockett began packing up the books on Feb. 11 and has now completed the move from Perhams Main Street Place to her new location at 126 West Main.

Actually, the location isnt new to Bevs Book Nook. Bev and Barb Lenius, also known as Ma of Mas Little Red Barn, shared the space until 1988 when Bev moved to Main Street Place. The two had previously shared space at the locations now occupied by Country Tailored Designs and Dars Treasure Chest. Barb and Mark Lenius (Pa) have transformed the former Crane Johnson building for their needs.

Bev says she has doubled her display space. The area is brightly lit with a comfy over-stuffed reading chair and bistro table set. Displayed among the new and pre-read books are cards, journals, bookmarks, magazines, puzzles and other gift items. A real treat is the $1.00 mystery bargain bags.

If a customer is looking for a new book not in stock, it can be ordered and delivered within a few days. Hockett also provides a book search service. Many times someone remembers a book from childhood with part of a title or a general idea of the subject. I can look it up and find it for them, says Hockett.

Bevs Book Nook also offers UPS and Speedy Delivery services.

Hockett and her books are fitting in nicely in their new/old home. The phone number is 346-2556.

Bevs Book Nook has taken over the space formerly occupied by Anthonys on Main. Coldwell Banker will move their real estate offices into the former Book Nook.
