AARP driver refresher course coming up at the PACC

The AARP Smart Driver refresher course will be offered from 1 to 5 p.m. Nov. 12 and 14 at the Perham Area Community Center, 620 Third Ave. SE.

During the course, taught by certified volunteer instructor Michael Windey, participants will learn:

  • Defensive driving skills.
  • Safety strategies.
  • The latest driving technologies.
  • Current rules of the road.
  • How to manage and accommodate common age-related changes in vision, hearing and reaction time.

The course is open to drivers of all ages, according to a news release. Cost is $15 for AARP members, and $20 for nonmembers.
