A car started on fire on Highway 10 just west of Perham yesterday.
Perham Fire Chief Mark Schmidt said there were no injuries in the incident. Eight local firefighters were called to the scene to extinguish the fire, working in frigid temperatures of well below zero.
The vehicle started on fire around mile marker 61, near the highway’s intersection with 405th Avenue. Schmidt said he was not sure how or why the fire started. Other details were not immediately available.
