Each spring the New York Mills Regional Cultural Center features the artwork of regional artists beginning with students in K-12 grades and culminating in the adult category.

These are the center's most popular shows because the artists are familiar, as locals, and the viewer is treated to a wide variety of abilities and mediums.

The Adult Regional Art Exhibit will be on display from May 22 through July 8 with an artist reception planned for Friday, June 1 from 5-7 p.m.

Artists who participate may submit two original pieces created within the past three years. Student work undertaken as a classroom assignment, or adult workshop assignments are not acceptable. In addition, items made from kits or commercial patterns are not acceptable. This is a non-juried show meaning anyone who meets the criteria will have their work displayed in the gallery.

Visitors to the exhibit may vote on their favorite pieces with "Peoples Choice" cash awards given to the top three artists. This is a showcase of regional talent giving validity to the fact that New York Mills is one of the top 100 small town art communities in the country. A special thanks to Geri Nesland with Farmers Union Insurance for sponsoring this annual exhibit.
