If you were unable to finish high school and would like an opportunity to do something about it, the Perham Public School can help you.
This is called the GED (General Educational Development) a class that can lead to a high school equivalency certificate.
The course is a refresher of math, reading, science, social studies and writing skills, which includes a written essay. Students work at their own rate until they feel they are ready for the test, then arrangements will be made with the testing center at the Wadena Technical College. There is no fee for this class; however, there will be a $70 test fee for the official test in Wadena.
The GED class is available to anyone 18 years or age or older. The local program is taught by Dave Evenson.
The first class will meet on Wednesday, September 8, at 5:30 p.m. in the Alternative Learning Center.
