Officers responded to an attempted break in at Triple Play Liquors in Dent, which they believe happened late Sunday night.
Damage to the backdoor of the establishment was discovered early Monday morning. It appeared that someone had attempted to pry the door open but failed to do so.
According to Otter Tail County Sheriff's Office, there is an active investigation and doesn't have anyone in custody yet.
Recently there have been thefts in the area, mostly ice houses that have been broken into. Citizens and shop owners are encouraged to keep their door locks and utilize security systems to stave off thieves. The Sheriff's Office also recommends removing valuable items from from ice fishing houses when they are not in use.
