Bruce Skogen " 1956-2006
Bruce A. Skogen, 49 of Barnesville, MN died Saturday, April 8, 2006 in The Roseau Area Hospital, Roseau, Minnesota.
Bruce, son of Andy and LoAnn (Carr) Skogen, was born July 5, 1956 in Moorhead, MN. He attended school and grew to manhood in the Pelican Rapids and Audubon, MN areas. He moved with his family to Barnesville in 1972 where he continued his schooling and graduated from Barnesville High School in 1974. Bruce worked for Eid-Co Builders of Fargo. He married Pam Scheffler on August 21, 1976 in Our Saviors Lutheran Church of Barnesville. The couple made their home in Barnesville where he worked for ABC Seamless of Fargo. They continued to live near Barnesville.
Bruce lived to hunt and fish and that included summer angling and ice fishing. He was a member of the local Ducks Unlimited and his pool league in Barnesville. Bruce enjoyed his family, and loved his time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Pam; one son Jeremy (Tara) Skogen of New York Mills; two grandchildren, Bryce and Brenna both at home in New York Mills; his parents, Andy and LoAnn Skogen of Barnesville; one brother, Scott (Sheri) Skogen of Barnesville; six sisters, Sherry (Steve) Klovstad of Pelican Rapids, Susan (Greg) Lynnes of Pelican Rapids, Sandra (Peter) Waldon of Perham, Cindy (Ray) Kunz of Barnesville, Lesley (fiancé-Marc Connelly) Skogen of Hillsboro, ND and Lisa (Jay) Roste of Rollag, MN. He is also survived by one sister-in-law Vicki (Paul) Johnson of Barnesville; three brothers-in-law, Joel (Kathy) Scheffler of Barnesville, Lyle Scheffler and Bruce Scheffler; 16 nephews, 10 nieces, five great-nephews and two great-nieces.

He is preceded in death by two brother-in-laws, Doug Scheffler and Lonnie Griffin.
Funeral Service: Wednesday, at 11:00 in Hope Lutheran Brethren Church, Barnesville.
Visitation: Tuesday from 4 8 with a prayer service at 7 in Dobmeier Funeral Home, Barnesville, and two hours before the service at the church.
Interment: Aspland Cemetery, Tansem Township of Clay County, MN.
