Central Minnesota Credit Union is announcing a merger with Moorhead Federal Credit Union, effective July 1, following a vote by Moorhead Federal Credit Union's membership on March 26.
"The merger with Central Minnesota Credit Union is in the best interest of our membership now and into the future," stated James Snyder, Board Chairman of Moorhead Federal Credit Union.
"With this merger will come expanded services such as online banking, mobile banking, access to ATMs, hours of service and new lending programs. We believe that CMCU will continue the personal service that members have become accustomed to and expect," Snyder added.
Richard Odenthal, CEO of Central Minnesota Credit Union, stated, "The merger calls for us to continue employing CMCU's vision of 'Enhancing the lives of members and community through Strength, Service and Growth."
CMCU offers financial services at branch offices located in Perham, New York Mills, Albany, Avon, Belgrade, Cold Spring, Freeport, Grey Eagle, Long Prairie, Melrose, Paynesville, St Joseph and Sauk Centre, as well as online at myCMCU.org or by phone.

Membership is open to persons who live, work, worship, volunteer, attend school, or are a part of businesses and other legal entities in the following Minnesota counties; Becker, Benton, Clay, Douglas, Grant, Kandiyohi, Meeker, Morrison, Otter Tail, Pope, Sherburne, Stearns, Todd, Wadena, Wilkin, Wright. Immediate family members of credit union members are also eligible.
