The five finalists for the Perham city manager position have been selected, and the public will have an opportunity to meet them Nov. 1.

An informal "Meet and Greet" gathering will be hosted at Mulligan's, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

The five finalists were selected from nearly 40 applications.

The finalists and brief profiles are listed here:

  • Barbara Hoyhtya, Canby, former city administrator 2003 to 2007. Currently, a bookkeeper for Hoyhtya Trucking.
  • Kelcey Klemm, city manager, Frazee, since March 2003.
  • Dan Mahli, Moorhead, senior planner and community development planner for the city of Fargo since 2001.
  • Karla McCall, finance officer for the city of Perham, since 1996.
  • David Neisen, building inspector for the city of Perham, since July 2001. Also, sales for the city's Natural Gas Company.
