A cold air funnel was observed at 2:30 p.m. Saturday west of Dalton in Otter Tail County.
Dalton is located 11 miles southeast of Fergus Falls.
The funnel damaged property and downed some trees at the home of Mark and Carol Hanson two miles west of Dalton.
The funnel was later observed moving east.
According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's National Weather Service, a cold air funnel is a small, relatively weak tornado that can develop from a small shower or thunderstorm when the air aloft is unusually cold. They are much less violent than other types of tornadoes.

Marble-sized hail also fell in the Dalton area.
