Community invited to kick off building of specially adapted home for veteran in Perham

The community is invited by Homes for our Troops to a community kickoff for a specially adapted custom home for Army SPC Lucas Schmitz on Saturday, June 26, from 9:30-10 a.m.

Homes for our Troops' mission is to build custom and adapted homes across the U.S. for severely injured post-9/11 veterans.

The community is invited by Homes for our Troops to a community kickoff for a specially adapted custom home for Army SPC Lucas Schmitz on Saturday, June 26, from 9:30-10 a.m. at St. Henry's Catholic Church on 234 Second Ave. SW in Perham.

This home, built by Hemmelgarn Builders, is funded by Homes for our Troops and those who help donate toward this project. Homes for our Troops' mission is to build custom and adapted homes across the U.S. for severely injured post-9/11 veterans. They hope to help these people rebuild their lives.

The Perham kickoff is in need of volunteers.
