Perham-Dent school supporters hope to break the $10,000 fundraising goal this weekend, at a dinner-dance fundraiser Sept. 13 at the Grandview Heights Ballroom, on the Pioneer Grounds.
United Community Bank and the 549 Family Foundation are presenting the "Country Hoedown" Pig Roast Dinner and Dance event on Saturday--with all proceeds going toward extracurricular activities at the Perham-Dent schools.
The summer-long campaign at the bank, which included parking lot cook-outs, a "jail and bail" event, and matching funds, has raised nearly $9,000, according to Lori Mack, United Community Bank spokesperson, who reported at the Perham Area Chamber of Commerce Power Hour meeting Sept. 9.
A pig roast dinner with all the fixen's will start at 6 p.m. At 8 there will be music by "Rendition." A cash bar will be provided by the Mulligan's crew.
The Country Hoedown will take place in the Grandview Heights Ballroom at the Pioneer Grounds in Perham.
