Dennis M. Jorgenson, 66, Lake Park, MN formerly of Vergas, MN and Pelican Rapids, MN died Thursday, April 19, 2007 at Sunnyside Care Center, Lake Park. The Funeral Service will be 2:00 PM Monday, April 23, 2007 at Grace Lutheran Church, Detroit Lakes with Reverend Eric Lemmonholm officiating. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Detroit Lakes.
Visitation will be 5-8 PM Sunday, April 22 with a prayer service beginning at 7 p.m. at the David-Donehower Funeral Home, Detroit Lakes and will continue one hour prior to the service in the church on Sunday.
Dennis Michael Jorgenson was born September 10, 1940 in Vergas, MN to Henry and Olga (Hanson) Jorgenson. He was raised and attended elementary school in Vergas and attended Perham High School (Perham, MN), graduating in 1960. Following school, Dennis worked for a dairy farm in Rothsay, MN and for Trustvis Farm in Ada, MN. He later worked for Swift Turkey Plant in Detroit Lakes, driving truck and for Audubon Creamery (Audubon, MN) which was eventually bought by AMPI. He was transferred to Pelican Rapids (AMPI) Creamery and worked there for over 35 years. Dennis retired due to health reasons.
Dennis enjoyed many things, especially waking early in the morning and driving to McDonalds where he would visit with his good friends over coffee. He also loved to play guitar and his harmonicas. He enjoyed polka music and playing whist.
Dennis is survived by a son, Michael (Tammy) Jorgenson of Crookston, MN; a daughter, Linda (Hassan Eid) Boucher of Detroit Lakes; one brother, Grandville Jorgenson of Minneapolis, MN; one granddaughter, Samantha Learn of Crookston.

Dennis was preceded in death by his wife, Esther; his parents; two daughters, Tammy and Vicky; one brother, Gordon Jorgenson.
