A fire took down a Dent home early Thanksgiving morning, according to the Otter Tail County Sheriff's Office.
At around 12:30 a.m. Thursday, the sheriff's office received a call of a chimney fire at 42220 Fawn Oaks Road in Dent. The Dent Fire Department, along with Vergas, Perham, Pelican Rapids, Ottertail and New York Mills fire departments, responded to the scene.
When firefighters arrived, the south end of the house was burning - flames later moved throughout the rest of the house.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, though the sheriff's office said in a press release that it appears to have started near a wood fireplace in the home.
