The funeral service for Donovan J. Kusick, 38, Perham, MN will be held on Friday, December 21, 2007 at 2 p.m. in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Frazee with Father Joe DeCrans officiating. Burial will be in the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Frazee. Visitation will be on Thursday from 4-8 p.m. in the Furey Funeral Home, Frazee and also one hour prior to the service in the church. Donovan died unexpectedly on Monday, December 17, 2007 in the Perham Memorial Hospital.
Donovan James Kusick was born the son of James and Joyce (Ogram) Kusick on July 22, 1969 in Robbinsdale, MN. When he was young, he moved with his family to Frazee and here he attended school. He then moved to Fairmont, MN and graduated from Fairmont High School. He then returned to the lakes area and resided in Perham until the time of his death.
Donovan enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, singing karaoke, playing card games, tinkering with electronics, fishing, bike riding and expanding his coca-cola collection.
He is survived by his father, James Kusick of Fairmont, five sisters, Colleen (Ken) Fix of Smyrna, TN; Eileen Kusick of Detroit Lakes, MN, Mary (Jeff) Dugger of Detroit Lakes, Erin (DuWayne) Jepson of Frazee, Bridget Nickolauson of Detroit Lakes, one brother, Dennis (Lonny) Kusick of Sanborn, MN; eight nieces, seven nephews, four great nieces, 3 great nephews and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Joyce Drake, his brother-in-law, Jason Nickolauson and his grandparents.
