Dorothy Anna Farley, age 86, of Brainerd, died Thursday, February 23, 2006 at Woodland Good Samaritan Village in Brainerd. Memorial services will be Saturday, March 11, at 1:00 p.m., at the Woodland Chapel, with Reverend Jim Rogers and Reverend Barb Christenson officiating. Interment will be in Wisconsin at a later date.
Dorothy was born April 29, 1919 in Montevideo, to Herman and Hilda (Ellig)Wiese. She was united in marriage to Dorsey Farley in April of 1937. A homemaker while her children were young, Dorothy worked at Hayward Area Memorial Hospital in Wisconsin for many years after her children were grown.
Dorothy is survived by her children, Donna Hunt, Atlanta, GA, Marsha (Clem) Zeien, Springbrook, WI, Margaret Meg Wurzenger, Brainerd, David Butch (Bonnie) Farley, Henry, SD, James (Mary) Farley, Hayward, WI, and Richard Farley, Las Vegas, NV; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Her parents, her husband, a son, Elmer, two brothers, and a sister preceded her in death.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel of Baxter.
