Once the New York Mills Eagle wrestlers got their momentum going last week, they were hard to stop.
Having to wait a week to get in their first dual meets thanks to snow postponements last week, Mills made the most of their home debut last Friday at the Sports center wit ha 42-31 win over No. 14 Greenbush-Badger-Middle River.
The match got off to a slow start as G-B-MR started with a 10-0 lead. Brian Schornack started the comeback with a pin at 119-pounds.

Mike Kumpula and Jordan Novak also picked up pins to give Mills a brief 18-16 lead. Two more wins by fall later in the match by Jake Johnson and Brendan Frost put the Eagles up 30-28.
The match came down to the final two weights as Jarrod Norton and Andrew Frost piked up the team's sixth and seventh pins of the night to secure the win.
Successful day at Barnesville
The Eagles followed that up with a 3-1 record the next day at the Barnesville Duals.
Mills picked up impressive wins against Detroit Lakes, 43-30, and against section rivals Wheaton/Herman-Norcross, 54-22 and the host Barnesville, 49-29.
The only blemish on the Eagles record was a 58-9 loss to North Dakota power, Fargo South. The Bruins were the only undefeated team at the meet and Mills handed the host Trojans their only loss of the day.
"Last week was a confidence builder for our team," head coach Eric Niemi said. "All of our wrestlers found a way to contribute."

Mills continued their hot streak Tuesday night at home against Park Rapids in a 57-17 win.
The Eagles picked up a total of nine wins by fall, all coming in the first period of action in their weight division.
The match started as Josh Bernu, Myrone Bell, Schornack and Mike Dittmann picked up pins for a quick 24-0 start.
Novak joined the fun with another first period pin at 135 pounds, then Mills closed the match with four more quickies with Brendan Frost, Jarrod Norton, Andy Hendrickx and Andrew Frost all getting in the action.
The team's only win not by fall was a 9-7 decision by Brian Fischer at 160 pounds.
The Eagles will return to individual action this weekend at the Big Bear Invitational in Cass Lake. The two-day tournament begins Dec. 14.
Mills will return home for their final match of 2007 when they host Frazee at the Sports center on Dec. 20. The Hornets are No. 4 in Class A with a pair of ranked wreslters in Mike Lucero (#5-125), and Andrew Lockrem (#2-152 pounds).
After the Holiday break, the Eagles will return to action with a dual against Perham on Jan. 3, followed by the Barrel O' Fun Invite in Perham on Jan. 5.
