Eagles crush Bulldogs

The Eagles varsity baseball team bounced back from a tough one-run loss to Bertha-Hewitt last week and beat Otter Tail Central 14-2. New York Mills then beat Menahga on Tuesday 6-5 at Russ Jacobson Field.

The Eagles varsity baseball team bounced back from a tough one-run loss to Bertha-Hewitt last week and beat Otter Tail Central 14-2. New York Mills then beat Menahga on Tuesday 6-5 at Russ Jacobson Field.

NY Mills 14, OTC 2

Luke Tervola threw the 5-inning complete game for the Eagles. He gave up two runs on two hits, walked four and struck out six in five innings. Offensively, six players had two hits each for Mills. Jason Burg, Jake Hendrickx, David Klinnert, Drew Schultz, Jon Bach and Chris Baune provided the offense. Klinnert had two doubles, and Hendrickx and Bach each had a triple. Baune had 5 RBI in the win over the Bulldogs.

Bertha-Hewitt 5, NY Mills 4

Starting pitcher David Klinnert threw five innings and allowed three runs on seven hits. He walked two and struck out three. Jake Hendrickx took the loss in relief. He gave up two runs on three hits, walked two and struck out three. Jason Burg drove in two runs with a double in the second inning, and David Klinnert also had an RBI double. Three other Eagles had singles in the game.
