The Eagles baseball team could have just as well skipped the first round of the sub-section playoffs Tuesday. Nevis could have just as well done the same.
The Eagles scored an unheard of 31 runs against Nevis at Russ Jacobson Field to win 31-1 in five innings. Everybody and their sister in the Eagles lineup picked up hits as the Eagles advanced to play in round two this Thursday. Statistics were not available at press time but the score is an obvious indication of the dominating performance for the Eagles, seeded #2 in the tournament.
Jake Hendrickx and Chris Baune both homered for Mills.Eagles coach Chris Bushinger emptied his bench and had his subs in by the third inning.

New York Mills finished the regular season last week with losses to Menahga and Wadena-Deer Creek and a win over Otter Tail Central.
