It was the "beginning of the beginning" last week as 40 preschoolers received "diplomas" for completing this year's session of a school experience that will prepare them for the coming years of school.
These children were involved in New York Mills School Readiness, Early Childhood Special Education, or Headstart programs.
The evening was highlighted by introduction of the early childhood staff, musical entertainment by the children, and handing out of "diplomas" by Superintendent Todd Cameron.
An Early Childhood Family Appreciation Dinner was served to over 200 participants following the ceremony.
