East Otter Tail Museum in Perham to host Summer History Series

Just in time to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Otter Tail County, it's the Perham Summer History Series. How did the townships of Otter Tail County get their names? Find out these hidden histories at the History Museum of East Otter Tail County in Perham. There is no charge and refreshments will be served.

In a series of three different talks, Missy Hermes, Education Coordinator for the Otter Tail County Historical Society, will reveal the stories about the 62 separate townships that make up Otter Tail County. On Tuesday, July 10 at 6:30 p.m. the program starts with the "Townships Named after Civil War Veterans." Many of the early organizers of Otter Tail County served in the military. Learn more about these veterans.
