Kassidy Steinbach of New York Mills has been named to the Academic High Honor list (dean's list) for the fall semester at Minnesota State University, Mankato. She was one of 915 students to qualify for the High Honor List by achieving a 4.0 straight-A average, according to a news release.

Concordia College

Leah Roberts, an English education major from New York Mills, was named state champion in Oratory (persuasive), Prose and Informative Speaking at the Minnesota Collegiate Forensic Association State Tournament Feb. 15 and 16 at Concordia. Concordia Speech won first place at the tournament.
