The Perham-Dent School District was already prepared for Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz's order to begin a Distance Learning Period for schools through May 4.
Perham-Dent teachers, support staff and administration have been working toward this anticipated extension, and are prepared to unveil their Distance Learning plans this week, according to a news release.
Parents should have received information from their child’s school, and the school's plans per building will be available on the district website perhamschools.org by Friday, March 27.
In addition to the school order, Walz on Wednesday, March 25, also issued a "stay at home" executive order which begins Friday, March 27, and ends Friday, April 10. School meals and child care for elementary school children of emergency workers will still operate during the “stay at home” order, according to Perham-Dent schools.
Parents should contact the school office for more information. Those who have not returned information on internet limitation or meal delivery are asked to do so immediately, according to the release.
