Memorial services will be held for Elsie (Anderson) Isaacson on Saturday, May 6, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. at the Karvonen & Son Funeral Home in New York Mills, Minnesota with Pastor Don Salo officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Woodland Cemetery, New York Mills, Minnesota.

Elsie Aileen (Anderson) Isaacson died in Santa Rosa, California on March 17, 2006 at 76 years of age. She was born to Andrew and Senia Anderson in Newton Township, rural New York Mills, Minnesota on July 4, 1929. Elsie was the only girl of seven children. She was baptized and confirmed at the Apostolic Lutheran Church in New York Mills. Elsie attended country school at District #105 in Newton Township until she was 11 years old and the family moved into town. She married Marvin Isaacson in September of 1946 in New York Mills. They farmed in rural New York Mills and Marvin worked on road construction. In 1961 Elsie and Marvin moved to California. Elsie died after a year battle with cancer. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Pine Grove, California. Preceding Elsie in death were her parents; son, Ronald; grandson, Adam; brothers: Ernest, Verner and Wilbert.

Elsie is survived by her husband, Marvin Isaacson of Santa Rosa, California; daughter, Marla Tarver and her husband Brooks of Santa Rosa, California; granddaughters: Deirdre Jones of McKinleyville, California; Cassandra McLeod of Colleyville, Texas; Araya Isaacson of Danville, California; grandsons: Jeffrey Tarver of Santa Rosa, California; Aaron Isaacson of Danville, California; six great-grandchildren; brothers: Reuben (Bernice) Anderson of New York Mills; Reino (Jean) Anderson of Park Rapids; Rudolph (Mary) Anderson of Blaine; many other relatives and a host of friends.

Arrangements are with the Karvonen & Son Funeral Home of New York Mills, Minnesota.
