Erbin H. Koelln, age 92, of Perham, MN, died Thursday, December 13, 2007, at the Perham Memorial Nursing Home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 18, 2007, beginning at 11:00 am at the United Methodist Church, Dent, with Pastor Fair Hill-Meeks officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Dent. Visitation will be held Monday, December 17, at Schoeneberger Funeral Home, Perham, from 4:00 - 8:00 pm with a prayer service at 7:00 pm and also one hour prior to funeral services at the church.

Erbin H Koelln was born October 29, 1915, in Star Lake Township, Otter Tail County, MN, the son of Henry and Emma (Dahkle) Koelln. He grew up in the Star Lake area and attended rural country school through the eighth grade. On October 8, 1945, he married Joyce Ann Peach in Dent, MN, and had one son, Dale. Erbin joined the US Army in 1941 and was a Staff Sergeant during WW II. He was given an honorable discharge in 1945. Together, Erbin and Joyce Ann farmed near Dent until 1967 when they moved into Perham. Erbin then began working for the City of Perham moving trees until his retirement. He was a member of the VFW Post 4020 in Perham and secretary for the Edna Township Board, Dent Creamery, and the Cemetery Board. In his spare time, Erbin enjoyed dancing, traveling, reading, and fishing.

Erbin is survived by his wife, Joyce Ann, Perham, MN; son, Dale Koelln, Dent, MN; sisters, Loretta Ackert, Perham, MN; and Jo Ann Fegan, Rio Roncho, NM; and a sister-in-law, Betty Koelln.

Preceding Erbin in death are his parents; a brother, Ardon Koelln; and two sisters, Lelia Erickson and Lorraine Peach.
