Emergency personnel responded to a house fire at 50557 Bucks Mills Rd. in rural Vergas Monday afternoon.
When Vergas Fire responded to the scene, no one was home. The flames had already caused severe damage to the main level and smoke damage to the second floor.
No one was hurt in the fire; the cause is under investigation.
