A Frazee man will be sentenced May 21 in Becker County District Court on a felony charge of first degree criminal sexual conduct.
Troy Ray Gibson, 44, of 31239 Valley View Rd., Frazee, was found guilty of the crime following a two-day jury trial that ended Wednesday.
Gibson was accused of attempting to have sex with a 12-year-old girl at his home on Aug. 18, 2010.
According to the complaint, Gibson allegedly approached the female juvenile, who had run away from home, and offered her a place to stay for the night, without telling her parents.
The juvenile, who according to the complaint knew Gibson as the manager of the trailer park where her family lived, agreed to go to his home for the night. Gibson reportedly fed her and gave her several alcoholic beverages, causing her to pass out or fall asleep. When she regained consciousness, she allegedly found Gibson on top of her, moving against her, and realized that her clothes were missing.

The girl then reportedly told Gibson she wanted to go home, and managed to get out from underneath him. He then allegedly told her to get dressed and not tell anyone what had happened, or he would say that she was lying.
