A Frazee man has been sentenced for felony domestic assault.
Larry Marquest Thomas, 37, was sentenced to 15 months in prison, stayed for five years. He will instead spend 60 days in jail with 40 days credit for time served.
According to the report filed with Becker County District Court, officers were called to Acorn Lake Trailer Park on Sept. 18, where the victim stated that she had gotten into an argument with Thomas, her boyfriend and father of two children. She told police Thomas later came back to the residence intoxicated, and hit the right side of her head and pulled her hair.
A 5-year-old in the house told police they came out when they heard yelling and saw Thomas “on top of mom yelling.”
When Thomas was arrested, he was reportedly belligerent, kicking the squad car.

He has a prior conviction of domestic assault from Sept. 2011.
Thomas was also sentenced that same day for violating the no-contact order that was issued for that victim. According to the complaint filed, Thomas contacted the victim from jail twice, telling her that he “missed her” and requesting money.
His sentence for that was the same as the assault sentence, and will run concurrent.
