One person was killed in a head-on collision just North of Wadena, Minn., on Friday.

The Wadena County Sheriff's Office reports that Samuel Kelderman, 17, of Wadena was traveling southbound on Leaf River Road when he lost control and collided with a northbound vehicle around 4:26 p.m.

Kelderman's vehicle came to a rest in the east ditch. He was transported to Tri County Hospital where he later died due to the injuries sustained in the crash.

The driver of the other vehicle, Gregory Marjamaa, 40, of Menahga, and two passengers in his truck were treated on scene and released. They later transported themselves to Tri County Hospital for treatment.

The crash is currently under investigation by the Wadena County Sheriff's Office and the Minnesota State Patrol. 

Funeral services will be Tuesday, Jan. 26, at the Wadena-Deer Creek High School. Visitation will be tonight.
