Gerald LaValley

Funeral services will be held for Gerald LaValley on Monday, January 21, 2008 at 1:00 p.m., with Mona Bolinski officiating at the Karvonen & Son Funeral Home in New York Mills, Minnesota. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service. Gerald was laid to rest in St. Thomas Catholic Cemetery in International Falls, Minnesota.

Gerald Walter LaValley was born on June 23, 1927 in Foreston,

Minnesota. His parents were the late Oliver and Josephine (Stearn)

LaValley. Gerald's lifes work included operating heavy equipment and

driving semi over the road. He was also a skilled mechanic and

loved to work on cars. Gerald enjoyed, horses, singing and playing

guitar, traveling and visiting family and friends. While life's

travels took him to many places, he considered International Falls,

Minnesota, to be his home town. On January 15, 2008 Gerald passed

away at the Perham Memorial Hospital in Perham, Minnesota at 80 years

of age. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Preceding Gerald in death were his parents; and his brothers and

sisters: Edward LaValley; Ida Johnson; Clara Neumiller; twins: Carl LaValley

ADVERTISEMENT

and Dolly Kirvan.

Gerald is survived by his daughters: Jeanne Miller; Mona Bolinske;

sons: Donald (Kathryn) LaValley and Jim (Mary) LaValley; 6

grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; many other relatives and a host

of friends.

Arrangements were provided by the Karvonen & Son Funeral Home in New York

Mills, Minnesota.
