The City of Perham's Committee of the Whole met remotely over Zoom Wednesday, April 29, until the meeting was abruptly ended by the software.
- The plans for both the PACC project and the Hub project were shared at the meeting. The Hub project, which is the remodeling taking place at the old Perham High School, is already fully funded and will be moving forward as planned. However, the PACC project could be delayed due to a shortage of funding from the local sales tax and fundraising caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and the stay-at-home order.
- Currently, the city is playing the waiting game on how to proceed on holding in-person meetings. If stay-at-home is lifted and things go back to social distancing, committees might be able to meet in the council chambers while practicing social distancing.
- Ways to hold the Assessment Hearing for the Industrial Park Project in-person May 11 are being considered. The hearing could be in one of the gyms at the PACC to allow for social distancing, with the option of virtual participation over teleconference for those who feel unsafe at a gathering or it would be reckless for them to attend in person.
- The new playground equipment for East Park has arrived and public works hopes to have it installed by the end of May.
