Army National Guard Sgt. Michael J. Dirckx has returned to the U.S. after being deployed to an overseas forward operating location in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Dirckx, a transportation operator with 20 years of military service, is assigned to the 434th Maintenance Support Battalion, St. Cloud, Minn.
His wife, Lori, is the daughter of John and Denise Zepper of Perham, Minn.
The sergeant is a 1986 graduate of Clarkfield High School.
