The Lady Eagle track and field team had a pair of title winners at the Park Region Conference Championships last week in Pillager. It wasn't enough to lift the New York Mills girls past fifth place at the PRC with 44 points.
Osakis (156) won the girls team title, while United North Central (122) won the boys championship. The Mills boys finished eighth (28).
Ashley Hagen won the girls high jump championship, clearing 5'0". Also winning an individual title was Brittnie Menze. She took first place in the shot put with a toss of 31'1.5".

Allison Slieter had a pair of top-five finishes. She took third in the 100m dash (13.65) and fifth in the 200m dash (28.81). Olivia Hendrickx also had a third place finish, in the 800m run (2:33.43).
The boys were led by two fourth place finishes by Joel Huch in the long jump (19'9.5") and the high jump (6'0"). Brandon Menze was the runner-up in the shot put with a throw of 127'.5"
Mills will return to Pillager for the 6A Sub-Section Meet today (May 24). Top finishers will advance to the Section 6A Championships at MSU-Moorhead on May 31.
