The Perham girls swim team finished third at the Bemidji Triangular Monday, but they stayed close to the two Class AA teams, Bemidji, who won with 129 points, and Grand Rapids (119). Perham finished with 82 points, nearly double the score they had against these two teams last year.
"To be so close to these schools is great," head coach Sheri Ressler said. "These are teams with kids going to state every year and we hung with them."
Perham's best finish came in the 200 free relay. The team of Sara Formanek, Leah Richter, Jeanna Kratzke and Kaila Formanek edged the Bemidji team by 1/10th of a second for first place.

Abby Kratzke qualified for Sections in the 100 back with a fourth place time of 1:16.30.
