A Perham High School student is a top 10 finalist in the 2013 Chevy Scholarship Program.
Judges selected Jillian Burns, a senior, from a pool of applicants. Area high school juniors and seniors nominated themselves or were nominated by someone else for the chance to win a $5,000 scholarship or one of nine other $500 awards.
The winner of the $5,000 award will be chosen by the public, through an online vote. Votes may be cast once per day now through April 1 on Facebook, at www.facebook.com/certifiedheartlandchevydealers . The winner will be announced on April 8.
The Certified Heartland Chevy Dealers, 20 Chevrolet dealers in the Fargo, N.D. area, have created this scholarship program to help deserving students accomplish their goals for higher education.
Submissions for the program ended March 11.
