Henry Mueller, age 99 of Battle Lake, MN died on Tuesday July 11, 2006 at his home. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 AM on Saturday July 15, 2006 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Henning, MN with Pastor Randy Maland officiating. The organist is, Doreen Salvog and the vocalist is Richard Cloeter. Casketbearers are: Jeffrey Mueller, Gregory Mueller, David Mueller, Todd Mueller, Eric Mueller, Scott Poll, and Steven Mueller. Interment is in St. Paul's Cemetery. Visitation is from 5:00 until 7:00 PM on Friday July 14 at the Belmont Funeral Home in Henning, MN and will resume for an hour prior to services at the church. Henry William Mueller was born on April 15, 1907 to Friedrich and Wilhelmina (Runge) Mueller in Johnsonville Township, Redwood County, MN, near Lucan. He was baptized and confirmed in the Johnsonville Trinity Lutheran Church. He attended School District #113 and also a term at the University of Minnesota Agricultural College in Minneapolis, MN. He was married on September 20, 1936 to Evaline L. Marquardt of Walnut Grove, MN at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Vesta, MN. They farmed near Walnut Grove for twelve years. During that time Henry served on the school board of District #72 and was also an Elder of Johnsonville Lutheran Church. They moved to Perham, MN in 1949 where they operated Henry's Perfect Beach for fifteen years. Henry was treasurer of the Heart of the Lakes Resort Association. They moved in 1965 to Molly Stark Lake near Battle Lake, MN. There they built their retirement home and cottages, operating Juniper Beach Resort until 1992. 

Henry was a founding member of the Battle Lake Senior Citizens Association. He served as President, board member and loved volunteering. Henry enjoyed playing Pinochle at the Senior Center until shortly before his death. He loved to hunt with his sons and grandsons. He enjoyed studying nature and sharing his stories with family and friends. He was a member and past Elder of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Henning, MN. He was active in St. Paul's Men's Club and Dart Ball Club. He had also served on the board of Elders in St. John's Lutheran Church in Corliss Township as well as at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Perham, MN. 

He is survived by his wife: Evaline; sons: Leonard (Sharon) Mueller, Pensacola, FL, and Arlan (Elaine) Mueller, of Glyndon, MN; daughters: Linda (Cliff) Poll, Fairfield Bay, AR, and Donna (Stephen) Mueller, of Windsor Heights, IA; 14 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren, and 4 step great grandchildren. 

Henry is preceded in death by his sisters Lena and Anna; his brother: Fred; and his grandson: Michael.
