A burglary along Highway 78 south of Perham has led to charges against a Minneapolis man, 31-year-old Carl Sylvester Harcus.

Harcus appeared in Otter Tail County District Court last Wednesday, charged with burglary in the third degree.

Court records state that on Oct. 7, Harcus allegedly conspired with two other individuals and entered a building with intent to steal. The owner of the property came upon the trespassers, and they dropped some items as they fled the scene.

Court records state that possible previous burglaries are linked to this case, including the theft of copper wire. One accomplice was reportedly wanted for violation of a law in Cass County (Fargo). The suspects are also linked to a stolen vehicle and use of methamphetamine.

The next court appearance for Harcus has been scheduled for Oct. 21.
