To the editor:
I would like to let you know that I am so very thankful to be back here in New York Mills - here in Minnesota. Having been gone 10 years away, I've learned the difference between "home town" and "big city". What a big difference! Not to put down Washington, MO. I need to say - hats off to each and everyone who makes this community a wonderful place, where each day one meets many or just a few with smiles, asking "how are you today" and so much more.
I'm glad to have had the experience of working for Wal-Mart - but not very far away one will be able to have our own Wal Mart store. I am very excited about this! Hopefully it will be open very soon. As for grocery stores we are very lucky to have Dean's Country Market, easily having everything there to eat. If you go hungry it's ones own fault. Dean supplies us with anything we ask for - both here and Perham. All of the gals that wait on us customers, treat us like a king or a queen.
We are very fortunate to have good doctors as well, they really look out for a person. I could go on and on but most of you already know probably much more than yours truly knows. I am very proud to be a member of this wonderful community. I can see that this town is growing by leaps and bounds - progress is flying high! I am looking forward to remaining here as long as there is a breath left in me - no way will I ever want to live anywhere else. Thanks much for allowing me to let my feelings out in the open. May God continue to bless each and every one of you.
It's really been fun to visit with you, maybe one day we can go have coffee together and reminisce about the good old days.

P.S. Not only does Dean's have good food but they have home delivery that which I know I will be using when the weather is nasty or I have much more than I can carry. Thank you Dean for that thoughtfulness on your part. Now we really have much more to be thankful for!
