The Yellowjacket gymnasts got through their first dual meet test last Friday in Hauer Gymnasium as they defeated Becker, 141.375-140.850.
Becker finished third at last year's State Class A State Meet, finishing six points behind the Yellowjackets.
Perham gymnasts finished in the top-three All-Around places and had four in the top-six. Kelsi Vomacka led the Jackets with an All-Around score of 35.550. She finished first on the vault (9.6) and second on the uneven bars and she tied Mikaela Eickschen for first in the floor exercise (9.55).

Eickschen finished second in the All-Around with a score of 35.35, followed by Jenna Schmitz in third with a 35.225. Schmitz won the uneven bars with a 9.35, the only 9-plus score on the bars at the meet.
Finishing sixth in the All-Around was Carly Peterson with a 32.475. Her high was a seventh place finish in the floor exercise (8.875).
Zoie Potts had a team high of 8.6 on the balance beam, finishing fourth. Potts also finished fourth on the bars (8.575).
Road trip
Perham will take their first bus trip of the young season today (Dec. 20) as they head to Alexandria for a dual meet with the Cardinals. The Jackets will have nearly a month away from competition to gear up for another State title run in 2008. Their next action will be at the Lakeville Invite on Jan. 12.
