James Robert Brauch was born on March 31, 1958 in Wadena, MN to Bob and Donna (Honigfeld) Brauch. Jim was united in marriage with Deborah Kay Tabery on October 20, 1984 at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Bluffton, MN.
Jim lived in Bluffton for 21 years and worked as a truck driver and stay-at-home dad. He enjoyed playing cards, 4-wheeling, and snowmobiling. He followed the Twins and Vikings on TV and loved spending time with his family and friends.
Jim passed away at his home in Bluffton on August 31, 2006.
Jim was preceded in death by his father, Bob Brauch; grandparents, George & Emma Brauch and Harvey Shanstrom; and aunt, Jeanie Kingsley.
He is survived by his wife, Deborah; mother, Donna (and step-father Marcel); grandmother, Lorraine Shanstrom; sons, Brian (fiancé Shannon Waln) of Wadena and Kyle of Bluffton; brothers and sisters, Mike (Deb) Brauch of Hewitt, MN, Tom (Joan) Brauch of Bluffton, and Debbie Gilbert of Buford, GA; uncles, Doug (Verna) Shanstrom and Curt Kingsley; 15 nieces & nephews and 8 great nieces & nephews; and Godchildren, Danny Brauch and Grace Brasel. He is also survived by Deborah's parents, Leo and Doris Tabery; Deborah's brothers, Dave (Lori) Tabery of Pelican Rapids, MN, Nathan (Annamarie) Tabery of Wadena, Steve Tabery of Sebeka, MN, and Alan Tabery of Bluffton; Deborah's sister, Nancy (Mike) Wlasiuk of Gaylord, MN; as well as many good friends.

The Mass of Christian Burial was held Monday, Sept. 4, at 11:00 am. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Bluffton with Fr. Donald Wagner celebrating the Mass. Interment was in St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery in Bluffton, The Pallbearers were Shonna Brasel, Ryan Brasel, Bobby Tabery, Missy Tabery, Alan Tabery, David Brauch.
