John R. Squires, age 95 of Elkhorn, NE, passed away Feb. 20, 2006, at the Life Care Center, Elkhorn, NE.
Preceded in death by wife, Bernice; son, Robert; sisters, Beulah and Hazel; brother, Marvin; grandson, Kenneth.
Survived by two sons & daughter-in-law, John P., Clark and Toni Squires, all of Omaha, Nebraska; five grandchildren, Jennifer, Julie, Bart, Carolyn, and Leah; six great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Long time farmer in the Decatur, NE. area. Also farmed in Ottertail Co, MN. on Rush Lake and enjoyed spending many summers there after retirement from Micklin Home Improvement in Omaha, NE.
Funeral Service: Thursday, March 9th, 3:00 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Decatur, NE.

Officiating was Rev. Phil Sloat
Burial will be at Hillcrest Cemetery, Decatur, NE.
Visitation will be Wednesday, March 8th, 1-7 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 5 7 p.m. at Hamel-Peck-Pelan Funeral Home in Tekamah, NE. Visitation will also be held on Thursday one hour prior to the service at the church in Decatur.
