Juanita Louise (Aldrich) Cuff, age 83, a resident of Tucson, died July 6, 2006, in Tucson at Hospice Family Care.       

Juanita was born in Breckenridge, Minnesota, March 2, 1923, the daughter of Guy and Emma (Walters) Aldrich.  She was raised and attended school in Breckenridge.  During World War II, Juanita lived in New Haven, Connecticut, with her sister Lillian and family and worked at American Tube Bending Company.  She returned to Breckenridge in October, 1945.

On October 29, 1945, Juanita was united in marriage with Leonard H. Cuff in Breckenridge, Minnesota.  Juanita was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker.  Juanita and Len lived in the Breckenridge-Wahpeton area until 1960, where Len owned and operated Cuff's Ready Mix Concrete.  Juanita and Len then farmed outside of Pelican Rapids until the late 1970's, raising polled Herefords.  After retirement, they spent winters traveling, often in Texas, and summers at the farm.  They moved to Springdale, Arkansas, in 1980 and to Tucson in 1985.

Juanita is survived by two daughters: Sandra (Herb) Mickelson of Green Valley, Arizona, Therese Cuff, Phoenix, Arizona; son Kurt (Diane) Cuff of Vail, Arizona; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren;  two brothers: Les (Estella) of Breckenridge, Lloyd (Dee) of Apache Junction, Arizona; three sisters: Joyce (Tom) Anderson of Wahpeton, North Dakota; Eunice (Harold) Bickel of Goldendale, Washington; Arlene (Wally) Richter of Gresham, Oregon; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Juanita is preceded in death by her husband Len (June 17, 2006); her parents, son Gary, sister Lillian, and brothers Louis, Walter, Donald, and Floyd.

Arrangements are pending for a memorial service for Juanita and Len.  Internment is planned for the Southern Arizona Veterans' Memorial Cemetery at Sierra Vista, Arizona.
