The Knights of Columbus is a Catholic mens organization. The local council in the Perham area is undertaking their annual project of inviting all Perham area businesses to close from noon to three o'clock on Good Friday, April 14th in observance of Christ's death on the cross. We will carry an ad in the Perham Enterprise-Bulletin listing the businesses that will close on Good Friday. We will also be handing out posters for them to display indicating they will be closed.
We believe that Jesus died for our sins and opened the gates of heaven for us. Therefore, we encourage you to spend some time in adoration and thanksgiving.
We understand that nearly all businesses have a policy to either close or allow their employees to attend services at this time and we commend them for that. The purpose of the ad is to inform the customers and employees of these businesses, which will allow them to plan accordingly.
Our members will be calling on businesses during the coming weeks asking if they will be closed and if they would like to be listed in the ad. If we should miss a merchant or business, please contact Ken Guck at 346-3456.
We sincerely thank all the people who support the work of the Knights of Columbus.
