The Lady Eagle softball team met the best team in the Park Region Conference last week as Otter Tail Central swept a doubleheader from Mills, 8-7 and 6-1. The second game was a make-up from April 3.
After falling behind 3-0 in the first, the Eagles got on the board in the top of the third as Kristina Boe, Kim Becker and Nicole Nebosis scored.
OTC put up three more runs in the fourth and two in the fifth for a 8-3 lead.

Mills put up three more in the sixth as Tessa Wegscheid drove in two runs and scored another to narrow OTC's lead to 8-6.
The Eagles scored one more in the seventh as Nebosis drove in Becker. Nebosis was stranded at second to end the game.
In game two, Kim Becker went 1-for-3 and scored the team's only run in the top of the seventh in a 6-1 loss. Mills managed just five hits in the loss.
OTC scored five runs in the bottom of the sixth to break open a 1-0 game.
Playing their third game in two nights wasn't a good thing for NY Mills as they lost to Wadena-Deer Creek on Friday, 4-1.
The Eagles' only run came in the top of the second when Alyssa Lee's RBI single scored Becker. Once again, the Mills bats were silent as they managed just two hits.
Win over B-H
Mills used a five-run sixth to send Bertha-Hewitt packing in an 11-1 win on April 24. Kristina Boe, Nicole Nebosis and Morgan Kahilainen each drove in two runs in the win.

The Lady Eagles will head south today (May 3) to take on Parkers Prairie. NY Mills split two games with the Panthers (4-1, 3-1 Park Region) last year.
From there, the Eagles return home to face Verndale on May 8. Mills knocked the Pirates (4-3, 3-2 Park Region) out of the 6A playoffs last year after Verndale won both regular season meetings.
