In the game that was played, Mid-State conference leading Staples-Motley took care of the Jackets, winning 17-4.

Perham dropped a pair of Mid-State games at Detroit Lakes last Tuesday.

Two hits from Dani Stoll and one walk by Alyssa Stafki was the only offensive output for Perham in a 3-0 game one loss.

Lauri Sczygiel pitched well in the loss, allowing three runs on just four hits.

Perhams offense perked up in game two, but so did the Lakers, as D.L. completed the sweep, winning 15-9.

Perham committed six errors in the loss, including three in the second inning as D.L. sent 15 batters to the plate, scoring 10 runs.

Perham fought back in the third inning, scoring two on a single by Sarah Werner and another on a single by Mallory Malikowski, cutting the lead to 10-5.

The Lakers added one more in their half of the third, then RBI singles by Stoll, Werner and Malikowski in the fourth contributed to a four-run inning, making the score 11-9.

D.L. kept their composure amidst the Perham rally, and rebounded to score four more of their own in the fifth to put the game away.
