WEST FARGO - A West Fargo woman is dead and her husband is in the hospital after they lost control of their car on frosty roads here Wednesday morning.
West Fargo Police Chief Mike Reitan said the man, who was driving an SUV, and his wife were headed east on Main Avenue near the 500 block at about 7:35 Wednesday morning when the SUV lost control and crossed the median into the oncoming lane of traffic.
Two cars headed west hit the SUV on the passenger side, which flipped and came down on its roof.
The driver of the SUV, a 52-year old West Fargo man, was taken by ambulance to the hospital with significant injuries.
Four people in the other two cars were examined and released at the scene, all of which refused treatment for what appear to be non-life-threatening injuries.

A 50-year-old woman, the passenger of the SUV, died at the scene.
Frost on the roads may have been a factor, Reitan said.
Traffic was shut down for about an hour in the area.
