Lena F. Faber, age 88, of Perham, MN, died Wednesday, December 28, 2005, at the Perham Memorial Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, April 28, 2006, at 1:00 p.m. at St. Henrys Catholic Church, Perham, with Father Joe Herzing officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, April 27, at Schoeneberger Funeral Home, Perham, from 6:00 8:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m.
Lena was born July 27, 1917, in Perham, MN, the daughter of Henry and Anna (Fontaine) Meier. She was the youngest of sixteen children. On June 19, 1937, Lena married Rudolph Faber in St. Paul, MN, by Reverend A. Ziskowsky. She cared for her invalid mother-in-law, Emma Faber, for fifteen years. When Emma passed away Lena was then employed by Tillman Produce Company for fourteen years. When she retired she assisted her husband at Fabers Printing. Lena was a member of the Christian Mothers and Holy Family Societies.
Lena is survived by her son, Charles (Celine) Faber, Perham, MN; daughter, Jacqueline (Pat) Brown, Brainerd, MN; a sister, Elsie Parker, Bend OR; five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Lena is preceded in death by her parents; husband (September 11, 1980); four brothers; and ten sisters.
