Leonard Clarence Demmer, 92, of Fergus Falls, died Sunday April 30, 2006 at the Pioneer Retirement Community, where he resided.
He was born on February 26, 1914 in Star Lake Township of Otter Tail County, the son of George Fredrick & Mathilda Almira (Smith) Demmer. He attended School district 244, of Star Lake Twp. The family moved to a farm in Scambler Township of Otter Tail County, in 1940, where he farmed. In 1977 he sold the farm and moved to Moorhead. He recently moved to Fergus Falls, where he resided for a time at the River Bend apartments, and lastly, as a resident of the Pioneer Retirement Community.
He was a member of the Assemblies of God Church. Leonard enjoyed hunting, the out of doors, and time spent with his family.
Preceding him in death were three sisters, Irene Nibbe, Ethel Peterson, and Ardella Carlson and an infant brother.
Survivors include three sisters, Iva Broberg, Fargo, Florence (Art) Robins, Bemidji, Gladys Egli, Bismarck, ND, and ; two brothers, Orville Demmer, Fergus Falls and Alvin (Marian) Demmer, Mt. Vernon, WA, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the church.
Services are 11 a.m. Saturday May 6, 2006 at the Abundant Life Assembly of God Church, Fergus Falls.
Clergy: The Reverend Brent Murphy.
Interment: Lakeview Cemetery, Pelican Rapids.
