Lila Marie (Lindstrom) Keskinen, age 84, passed away on December 6, 2006, after battling cancer for many months. Lila was born on March 19, 1922 to Selma (Manninen) and Leopold Nieminen in Meadow Township in Wadena County, Minnesota. She was a 1941 graduate of Sebeka High School.
Her husband, Erv, passed away in 2002. Her two brothers, Jack and Art Lindstrom, preceded her in death. Lila is survived by her four children - Kay, John, Susan, and Kathleen - and their families She is also survived by other family members and many friends.
Family and friends will celebrate her life at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in New York Mills, Minnesota on Saturday, May 26, 2007 at 11:00 AM. A reception will follow. Cremation has taken place with internment at the Greenwood Cemetery in New York Mills. Lila requested that memorials go to the American Cancer Society and the New York Mills Senior Citizen Center.
