Funeral Mass was held for Lloyd Beaulieu of Perham, Minnesota (formerly of Ottertail, Minnesota) on Thursday, November 16, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Otto Township, rural Perham, Minnesota officiated by Father Arlie Sowada. St. Lawrence Catholic Church provided the music. Lloyd will be laid to rest in Memorial Park Cemetery, Sioux City, Iowa. On Monday, November 20, 2006.
Lloyd Louis Beaulieu was born on July 11, 1910, the son of Edward and Mary (Elliot) Beaulieu. He died November 12, 2006 at Autumn Manor in Perham, Minnesota at the age of 96. Lloyd was raised in Liberty Township, rural Hinton Iowa, Plymouth County.
He graduated from Liberty High School. Lloyd owned and operated Beaulieu Repair in Sioux City, Iowa for 25 years. He worked for Firestone Tire Company in Sioux City, Iowa for three years and was also employed with the U. S. Army repairing guns and vehicles from 1941-1946. In 1956 he was united in marriage to Margaret Minear. Lloyd and Margaret made their home on Rush Lake, rural Ottertail, Minnesota where they owned James Resort until 1967. Lloyd owned Beaulieu Lock and Key service for many years until retirement. He has resided on Rush Lake where he enjoyed fishing, hunting and visiting with his neighbors. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Preceding Lloyd in death are his parents and brothers, Eugene, Cyus, Edwin and Tom, a sister, Marguerite Berger.
Lloyd is survived by a daughter, Marvel (Gaylen) Bahnsen, three grandchildren, a great grandchild, a sister-in-law Elsie Beaulieu, many other relatives and friends.
